LECCIÓN PASEO A CABA CON ALUMNOS DE 5º Y 6º AÑO

Trip to Buenos Aires

Last Friday we went on a school trip to Buenos Aires. We visited some interesting places such as:
La Recoleta cemetery where very important people were buried. The structure of the place is attractive for its sculptures with great cultural value.
We also went to Former ESMA which was a school. In the 70s the people that were kidnapped due to their revolutionary ideas were taken to that place to be tortured.
Last but not least, we went to La Boca where we walked along Caminito. We also visited the wax museum and a guide showed us around the main streets of the neighbourhood.

Last Friday, on May 17th, we went on a trip to Buenos Aires with the school class. There, we visited a lot of places that we didn't know.
What we liked the most was going to Recoleta's cementery, where there was a guide who told us many exciting and interesting stories.
Also, we went to the "Ex Esma", where we remembered and learnt more about the Argentinian History, specially the dictatorship in 1976. We listened to more stories about memories of the victims of that period, who were repressed.
At last, we visited a very popular place of Buenos Aires called "Caminito", which is visited by people from all around the world because it is a cultural heritage. It was very colourful and it was full of paintings by Quinquela Martín. There we learnt about the immigrants' lifestyle and the story of how it was created.
In our opinion, we think that this trip was fantastic, and certainly, we'd like to return some day!
(Rocío Brandan, Lucila Zoppi, Astrid Andenmatten)

We visited a wax museum in La Boca where we saw models of people singing and dancing tango and candombe, important people for the foundation of Buenos Aires, famous painters.
We learned a lot about the history of people who lived in Argentina hundreds of years ago.
(Colaprisca – Bacca – Caffiero - Gonzalez  Moisello – Cepeda – Ocanto)

At Recoleta cemetery we saw the graves of well-known people. We learned many stories about those people. We liked the place and we’d recommend it because the stories and the sculptures are really attractive.
(Donadio – Ali – Farias – Alonso – Burgo – Sirignano)
At the Espacio Memoria y Derechos Humanos (ex-ESMA) we saw where the military junta tortured the suspected dissidents and subversives during the last dictatorship period (1976-1982).
This place proved to be really interesting. We recommend it because you can learn about Argentinian history easily.
The place is now called “Espacio Memoria y Derechos Humanos” (Memory and Human Rights Place)  because ESMA (acronym for Military School) gives a feeling of injustice and horror.
(Lecuna-Barulli-Gutierrez-Garcìa-Castillo-Torres)

THE CEMENTERY OF RECOLETA IS A VERY GOOD EXPERIENCE FOR PEOPLE WHO LIKE HISTORY BECAUSE THERE YOU CAN FIND THE GRAVES OF NOTABLE  ARGENTINE  PEOPLE.
YOU MUST ASK FOR A GUIDED TOUR TO ENJOY AND KNOW MORE ABOUT THE  FANTASTIC  URBAN  LEGENDS .
(Zadara, Liveratore, Gigli, Reinoso)

The E.S.MA.was a detention centre during the military dictatorship in Argentina (1976-1982). From 2004 on, the centre has been called “Espacio para la Memoria y para la promoción y la defensa de los Derechos Humanos”. There you can visit the place where people were tortured and you can also watch a video and have a debate of that tragic period.
It´s a good  experience for people who are interested in our history.
(Cabrera, Garcés, Mingroni, Muller, Uhrig)

LA BOCA
Along Caminito Street you can see the colourful “conventillos” and sculptures of important characters like Carlos Gardel, Evita, Maradona, etc
You must visit the wax Museum showing  figures of the first founders and inhabitants of the neighbourhood , representing scenes of their traditions.
You can´t miss it!
(Jara , Ramirez , Cesolari)

CONGRATULATIONS!!!!
